Well folks we are moving from our lovely valley down here in Byrne KZN. After serious consideration we decided to sell here and move to Bethal in Mpumalanga. We were fortunate to find a good place and it ticks all the boxes on our list except that we will miss the lovely green hills of KZN. I believe that there is a lot less rain there and that the grass does not grow as lush and as quickly as down here where we started our Boran Stud.
We will be expanding our breeding herd and will concentrate as always to provide our buyers with our best stock. We are looking forward to the move and will start packing in earnest come Monday the 5th of January. We plan to be operational by the end of January 2009 at the new place.
As you can see from the photo on the next page it is very flat and it will take some time getting used to seeing the whole farm from the house. Just joking as we are very excited about the move. At least I will be able to visit with some fellow Boran breeders in the province and be back for lunch. |
